WINE TASTING THIS WEEK END

Free Wine Tastings this Weekend.

Exclusive Wines from Italia with Small Vineyards.

CAMPANIA - Tenuta Ponte 2007 - 100% Coda di Volpe
An ancient, full-bodied varietal from Campania, Coda di Volpe is virtually unknownin the States, but shares much of the appealing characteristics of Italy's most popular whites. Grown on cliffs over-looking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the wine is the perfect result of its location -- fresh, salty, rocky, and ripe from the intense Napolitano sun. Aromas of plantain, lemongrass and sweet basil swirl in the glass, and complement any seafood fare or Asian cuisine. A great value.

TUSCANY - Rigoloccio Rosso 2006 - 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Alicante.
A highly inspired blend of Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, and Alicante, this wine marries medium-bodied approachability with exceptional zesty flavor. From the famed Maremma in Tuscany, the beautiful Rigoloccio estate has a sweeping view of the Tyrrhenian Sea, and borrows much of the wine's fresh, salty and pepper complexion from the big blue. This wine is slathered with flavor, extract, balance, minerality, tannins, length, deft cooperage, color and smile-inducing layers on the palate. Dusty and slightly herbaceous, Rigoloccio benefits greatly from the famous pyrite mine carved below the root system -- the flinty.

VENETO - Trevisol Prosecco Frizzante - 100% Prosecco.
From Valdobiaddene's grand family of prosecco, Paolo Trevisiol delivers an absolutedelight with this delicate, pleasing prosecco made in a wonderful, traditional frizzante style. Tiny, delicate bubbles deliver flinty aromas of acacia flower and Meyer lemon, all with Trevisiol's trademark minerality borne of his remarkable moraine soil. Finished with a classic French-style crown closure, the wine is perfect for lighter summer fare, especially oysters, fried chicken, or fresh fruit.
