We will be tasting wines from the Languedoc, Rhone Valley and Provence. Tony with Galaxy Wines will be offering tastes including the grapes Viognier, Marsanne, Rousanne, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Great for the dog days of summer ahead you will be sure to find more than one to sip your way to autumn. One that might surely make your list is from Pennautier which is very close to the medieval village of Carcassonne. Pennautier is a winery with strong ties to Louis XIII. Citrus, pear and fennel with minerality from limestone soils, it has a luxurious and silky mouth-feel. A real winner!
The tasting will include light appetizers. The $15 fee can be collected when you arrive. It's fine to arrive after 6:00 but probably no later than 7:00 to properly taste all the wines as the event ends at 8:00. Make a night of it and hang out with your friends while sipping your favorite new wines! Dinner and desserts are also available. We will also have a drawing to win one of the bottles offered at the tasting!
