TASTING BORDEAUX

Chateau Haut Rian is located southeast (18 miles) of the city of Bordeaux in the tiny village of Rions .
The property is eighty hectares, encompassing parts of the Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux and Entre-Deux-Mers, bordering the village of Cadillac and near the Garonne River, "where the vines can see the water but won't get their feet wet". The climate here is warmer than maritime Medoc but also drier. All of the vineyards are on gentle slopes facing South and Southeast, the topsoil consists of loose pebbles over limestone.
Chateau Haut Rian 2005: 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Only 25% new oak. Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux

Location: Friday May 29th  2009: from 5:30 to 7:00 pm
